Basma Jabr is a Syrian singer based in Austria, where her musical experience was influenced and reshaped by many different colours and trends.

Within a short period of time in Austria and after many recordings and live performances, she found her own place in the Austrian and European music scene, with concerts in the most important stages.
Besides her musical work as a singer in various bands, Jabr has also contributed to musical plays and films on a global scale.
Over the years, Jabr has developed a distinctive style that presents traditional Arabic music in a new and captivating way while blending elements of jazz with contemporary influences.

This is evident in her remarkably expressive voice, which effortlessly navigates into the complex alleys of Arabic music and the intricacies of the Arabic maqam, exuding gentleness, raw emotion, passion and sadness, all with authentic charm.
 
She always seeks to exchange experiences and expertise with musicians from different musical backgrounds, which is what distinguishes her creative work to this day.
She has recently released her album “Furat”. A project that sheds light on the role of women in the Arab music scene, by presenting songs by iconic female singers from the last century in a contemporary musical style.
“Furat” is a testament to her extensive and extraordinary musical journey that beautifully showcased her exceptional artistry.
